update your tablet app, then exit the app

start the tablet app, then update the firmware

restart the DE1 and app, and confirm rev=1152 or greater, in settings->machine

The entire process of installing the group head controller will take about an hour. You can do the work as you follow the video.

WRITTEN LIST OF TOOLS TO HAVE ON HAND BEFORE STARTING:

Required:

Torx T10 driver.

PH2 phillips head screwdriver.

H4 4mm hex key.

Two shifter wrenches (and/or other tools for unlocking steam wand nuts).

Recommended:

Parts bowl(s) (eg. for screws).

Needle nose pliers and/or tweezers/forceps (for picking up screws and manipulating things in close spaces).

Tea towels (to support the head whilst connecting various bits and pieces in).

Microfibre cloths (for cleaning various parts).

Toothbrush/pastry brush/grinder brush/vacuum cleaner (for cleaning dust and coffee grounds).

Chopstick (for pushing molex connector into main board).

Needle (for widening holes in molex connectors).

Additional tea towel/tray (to keep everything neat).
