Following our prototype disco machine in the kitchen, here is what John believes would be an optimized layout of the LED string for a modded version of the "DE1 Disco" model ; this light string consists in 6 portions :

John wasn't sure this is a constraint butassumed that the LEDs sample string on which he worked, with some copper pads for soldering every 10 cm was a basic spec we have to deal with.

Keeping in mind that we should not make it too complicated / too expensive, he made all cabling sections a multiple of 5 cm.

Referring to the assembly sequence, such light string must optimally be installed just after the PCB partition plate.
