We're getting really close to shipping our new espresso machine model. Hopefully, in the next two weeks we'll ship our 30 beta units.
A month later, if things look good, we'll have 500 of them, that we've already built, that we can send right away to you. They just need a quick firmware update to make them current.
The final piece of hardware–the enamel coated drip trays–arrived this week, as did the sculptural “wings” optional cover. It'll be available in white, with a wood or metal outer cover.
And before I get more comments saying “make it in black”, let me just say that we absolutely intend to. Black models will be available in about a year, with the 3rd build (version 1.2) of Bengle. We'll be white only for the first year.
In this short video, John Buckman, founder of Decent Espresso, walks you through how to safely unbox and set up your Bengle, showing everything that's included and how it all fits together.
You'll see how Bengle ships in Decent's durable travel case, designed to protect the machine through international shipping and travel. John demonstrates how to remove each part, connect cables, and prepare your machine for its first use.
What's Inside the Box

Keep all the packing materials and foam — they're designed for reuse when traveling or servicing your Bengle.
